Here is my 2nd card for Altenew August 2026 Inspiration Challenge!

I had so much fun creating two cards for the Altenew August 2026 Inspiration Challenge! I followed the challenge colour combination of purple, peachy orange and grey.

This card is inspired by the most gorgeous inspiration picture and soft floral card by Lea Lawson, host of the Altenew February 2026 Inspiration Challenge

I designed this workshop to be a celebration of creative play, joyful experimentation, making without a care, and surprising beauty. The overarching learning objective was to explore experimental watercolor and mixed-media layering techniques to create unique card elements. We then looked at how editing, cropping, and die-cutting transform exploratory artwork into refined card designs.

Inspired by Altenew’s July 2025 Challenge, this elegant thank-you card features soft ink-blended leafy masking, glittery die cuts, and a dimensional, glittery butterfly. A simple design with a striking result — perfect for any occasion!
